Ingredients:

• 450 g – spaghetti
• 1 – Onion
• 2 – Cloves Garlic
• 3 tbsp – Olive oil
• 6 – Tomatoes
• 1 tbsp – Brown sugar
• For Meat balls:
• 450 g – Meat
• 2 slices – white bread
• 1 – Onion
• 1 tbsp – Parsley
• 3/4 cup – cheese
• salt pepper to taste

Method:

  1. For the meat balls:
  2. Soak bread in water. Squeeze and add to meat with finely chopped onion, parsley and cheese.
  3. Make into balls and keep aside.
  4. For the sauce:
  5. Heat oil, add chopped onion, crushed garlic and cook till golden.
  6. Add blanched, pureed tomatoes, sugar, thyme, pepper and salt.
  7. Lower heat cover, add meat balls and cook gently for an hour.
  8. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
  9. Once the sauce is done, spoon over spaghetti and serve.
