Ingredients:
• Onion – 3 medium
• Tomatoes – 1
• Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
• Chilli powder – 1.5 tsp
• Grated Coconut – 3 tbsp
• Coconut oil – for frying
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan. Cut the onion into small pieces. When the oil becomes hot, put the onions in and fry.
- Saute till the onion becomes golden brown.
- Add turmeric powder and chilli powder.
- Put the chopped tomatoes into the pan and fry till the raw smell is gone.
- Add salt. Do not add water.
- Remove from fire and let it cool.
- Put the fried onion and tomatoes into a mixer when it cools down.
- Add the grated coconut and grind into a paste.
- Onion tomato chutney is ready. You can use this with dosa.
