Ingredients:
• Clams (washed and shelled) – 1 cup
• Onion chopped (medium) – 1
• Tomato chopped (medium) – 1
• Green chillies slit – 2-3
• Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup
• Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
• Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
• Coriander powder – 1 tsp
• Red Chilli powder – 1/2 tbsp (more if you like it spicy)
• Fish masala – 1/2 tbsp
• Basil leaves – 2-3 (Dry Basil 1 tsp)
• Oil – 2-3 tbsp
• Water – 1 cup
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a kadai and fry the green chillies and ginger- garlic paste for 1 minutes.
- Add the onion and fry till soft.
- Stir in the tomato and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Add clams and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add all the powders, herbs and salt.
- Mix thoroughly so you coat all the clams.
- Add water and cook till the clams are done.
- Add more water if needed.
- Serve hot with chapatti.
