Ingredients:
• 2 cups – idli Rice (parboiled Rice)
• 1/4 cup – Rice flakes/aval/poha
• 3 to 4 cups – sour Butter milk
• 1/4 tsp – cooking soda
• As needed – oil and salt
Method:
- Soak washed rice and aval together, in buttermilk overnight.
- In the morning, drain the excess buttermilk if any, and grind to a smooth batter, a little thinner than the regular idli dosa batter.
- Add salt, cooking soda and mix well.
- Heat a tawa, pour a ladle full of batter and drizzle oil.
- Do not spread the batter.
- Cook covered over a medium flame for a minute.
- Super soft spongy dosa is ready to eat.
- Serve with a spicy chutney.
