Ingredients:

• 1.5 cups – sprouted horse gram (cooked with a pinch of salt)
• 1/2 cup – Onion (chopped)
• 1/2 cup – Tomato (chopped)
• 3 – Green chillies (slit vertically)
• 1 – Bay Leaf
• 1/2 tsp – Fennel seeds
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/4 cup – Coconut
• 4 – Cashew nuts (full) (can be replaced with roasted gram)
• Salt, as needed
• 1 tbsp – oil
• Coriander – for garnishing

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf and fennel.
  2. Then add onion, green chillies and tomato. Fry well.
  3. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Mix well.
  4. Add water and salt. Allow the contents to cook well till the raw smell of turmeric powder goes.
  5. Now, add cooked sprouted horse gram.
  6. After 5 minutes, add the ground coconut and cashew.
  7. Switch off the stove when contents thicken.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  9. Serve with rice, chapatti, naan, etc.
