• 4 – eggs
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/4 tsp – Pepper powder
• Salt as per need
• 1 – Onion (finely chopped)
• 1 – Tomato (big chopped finely)
• 2 – Green chillies (slightly opened)
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds and Urad Dal
• 1/4 tsp – Cumin seeds
• Salt as required
• Oil
• 3 -Curry leaves
• 2 tbsp- Coriander leaves (chopped)


  1. Take a bowl; beat well for a while the eggs with turmeric powder, pepper powder and salt.
  2. Take a pressure cooker with little water and heat it.
  3. Pour the beaten egg mixture into a greased pan or bowl and steam cook (as we do for idlis) in pressure cooker.
  4. After 5 minutes, check by inserting a toothpick.
  5. If it is clean put off the stove and take off the steamed egg mixture and keep aside.
  6. Let it cool and cut it into cubes.
  7. Heat oil in a kadai, add the mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds and let it splutter.
  8. Add the onion, tomatoes and green chillies.
  9. Fry until it is cooked.
  10. Add garam masala powder, red chilli powder and salt. Stir on medium flame. Once the spices get mixed well, add a cup of water and cook for a few minutes with lid closed.
  11. Add the steamed cubed egg pieces to the gravy.
  12. Stir occasionally until the oil separates.
  13. Add curry leaves and coriander leaves to the masala.
  14. Serve hot as side dish.
