Ingredients:

• 6 – equal sized Bitter gourds
• 1 tsp – Tamarind paste
• 2 tbsp – besan
• 1 tsp – Jeera
• Salt to taste
• 2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• A pinch of Turmeric
• oil to fry

Method:

  1. Slit the bitter gourds and scoop out the seeds.
  2. Heat water in a vessel, add the bitter gourds, salt, tamarind paste, turmeric and boil till gourds are tender.
  3. Strain the water and cool the gourds.
  4. Meanwhile mix besan, salt, jeera and chilli powder.
  5. Stuff the mix in the bitter gourds and fry in oil.
  6. Serve hot with rice.
