Ingredients:

• 1 cup – desiccated Coconut flakes
• 1/4 cup – edible gum granules
• 1/4 cup – finely chopped or grated dry Dates (khajur)
• 1 level cup – powdered Sugar
• 2 tbsp – dried Ginger (soonth) powder
• 1 tbsp – Wheat flour
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 1 tsp – crushed aniseed (saunf)
• 3 tbsp – Ghee

Method:

  1. Melt ghee in a heavy pan.
  2. Stir in flour, then add gum granules.
  3. They will pop, stir till fully popped.
  4. Take off fire, add all other ingredients.
  5. Mix well, check for taste if more sugar is required.
  6. Press well into a container, in loose form.
  7. Serve as required.
