Ingredients:
• 1 medium-sized – Banana (ripe)
• 1 cup – semolina/rawa
• 1/2 cup – Jaggery (grated)
• few broken pieces of cashew (optional)
• 1/4 tsp – fennel seeds, optional
• 1/4 tsp – Cardamom powder
• salt, a pinch
• oil for frying
Method:
- In a large bowl, mash the banana. Then add the grated jaggery and mix it well using your fingers.
- Now add the broken cashew, cardamom powder, fennel seeds and a pinch of salt.
- Finally, add the semolina and bind it into a dough.
- If need be, add more semolina to make dough.
- Keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a small kadai.
- Once oil is hot enough, slowly put small balls of the banana dough into the oil and fry till it’s brown.
- Remove and place it on paper napkins to drain off excess oil.
