Ingredients:

• 3 tbsp – grated fresh Coconut
• 3 Cloves
• 3 sticks of Cinnamon
• 2 tbsp – flour (maida)
• 1 cup – peas, boiled
• 2 potatoes, boiled, peeled, cubed
• 2 tomatoes, chopped
• 1 cup – coriander leaves, chopped
• 3 green chillies, chopped
• 2 onions, chopped
• 2 tsp – Sugar
• 3 tbsp – oil
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat 1 tsp of oil.
  2. Gently fry cloves, cinnamon and coconut till golden. Remove. Set aside.
  3. Roast the flour in the same pan.
  4. Grind both with enough water to make a thick paste. Set aside.
  5. Heat remaining oil.
  6. Add onion and green chillies.
  7. Fry till golden.
  8. Add peas, potatoes, sugar, salt and tomatoes.
  9. Stir till tomatoes are soft.
  10. Add liquidized paste and enough water to make a thick gravy.
  11. Allow it to simmer and garnish with coriander leaves.
  12. Serve with bread.
