Ingredients:
• 1 kg – boneless skinless Chicken breast
• Tandoori Marinade:
• 2 cups – plain non-fat yogurt
• 1 onion, chopped coarsely
• 2 Garlic cloves, chopped fine
• 2 tbsp – Lime juice
• 2 tbsp – Lemon juice
• 1 tbsp – ground coriander
• 2 tsp – paprika
• 1 tsp – ground Ginger
• 1/2 tsp – chilli pepper, powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• 1/2 tsp – ground Cloves
• freshly ground black pepper
• salt to taste
Method:
- Puree the onion and garlic.
- Add the lemon, lime juice, spices, yogurt to the onion, garlic puree and puree again till smooth.
- Marinate the chicken breasts in this mixture overnight in the refrigerator, turning occasionally.
- Prepare a charcoal or wood fire and let it burn down to embers.
- Remove the excess marinade and grill for five minutes on each side or until done.
- Serve with yogurt cilantro sauce to taste.
