Ingredients:

• 1 cup – rava
• 1.5 cups – water
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 1 – small Onion
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 2 tsp – gram dal
• 1-2 – Red Chillies
• 2 tsp – Butter
• Few Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• Few Cashew nuts and Raisins

Method:

  1. In a frying pan heat ghee. When hot, put mustard seeds, urad dal, gram dal, cashew nuts, raisins, red chillies, curry leaves and onions. Fry for 2-3 minutes, then add rava, fry till rava turns slightly pinkish.
  2. In another vessel, heat water, when water starts Boiled, add it to the rava mixture, stir constantly and let upma cook.
  3. After water dries, cover vessel for 2 minutes. Close the gas. Just before serving add butter.
