Ingredients:
• 100 g – flour
• 120 g – Cream
• 110 g – Sugar
• 4 – eggs
• 100 ml – Sugar syrup
• 2 g – Baking powder
• 2 drops – Vanilla essence
• Cherries for garnish
Method:
- Break the eggs into a bowl and add castor sugar to it.
- Beat the eggs till the soft peaks form. Add the flour slowly to the egg mix.
- Mix well until there are no lumps.
- Add baking powder, vanilla essence to the mixture and mix well.
- Bake in a hot oven.
- Cut the sponge into equal halves, horizontally.
- Brush the first half liberally with sugar syrup and apply cream evenly.
- Place the second layer of sponge on it carefully.
- Now, place the cake on a plate and apply cream evenly.
- Garnish with a cherry on top.
