Ingredients:

• 100 g – flour
• 120 g – Cream
• 110 g – Sugar
• 4 – eggs
• 100 ml – Sugar syrup
• 2 g – Baking powder
• 2 drops – Vanilla essence
• Cherries for garnish

Method:

  1. Break the eggs into a bowl and add castor sugar to it.
  2. Beat the eggs till the soft peaks form. Add the flour slowly to the egg mix.
  3. Mix well until there are no lumps.
  4. Add baking powder, vanilla essence to the mixture and mix well.
  5. Bake in a hot oven.
  6. Cut the sponge into equal halves, horizontally.
  7. Brush the first half liberally with sugar syrup and apply cream evenly.
  8. Place the second layer of sponge on it carefully.
  9. Now, place the cake on a plate and apply cream evenly.
  10. Garnish with a cherry on top.
