Ingredients:

• Beans – 250 g
• Channa dal – 1 cup
• Moong dal – 1 cup
• Dry chillies – 2 or 3
• Green chillies – 4
• Jeera – 1 tsp
• Hing powder – 1.24 tsp
• Salt – as per taste
• Curry leaves – 10 or 15 leaves
• Urad Dal – 1 tsp
• Oil – 2 tsp
• Butter – 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Soak the dals in water for 3 hours.
  2. Chop beans finely.
  3. Grind the dals coarsely along with green chillies, jeera and salt.
  4. Heat oil in a heavy bottom kadai.
  5. Add dry chillies, curry leaves and urad dal.
  6. Once the chillies and urad dal are sauteed, add beans.
  7. Fry for 10 minutes on medium heat.
  8. Add the ground dals and fry for 15 minutes.
  9. Finally, transfer the contents into a serving bowl, sprinkle hing powder and add a tsp of butter.
  10. Keep it covered for few minutes and serve.
