Ingredients:
• 12 slices – bread
• 1 cup – Maida
• 1 pinch – food colour
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 1 cup – black gram (soaked overnight)
• 250 g – boiled Potatoes (peeled & mashed)
• Green chillies (chopped)
• 1/2 cup – green coriander (chopped)
• 1 – Cinnamon stick
• 4-5 – Cloves
• 4 – small Cardamom
• 2 – big Cardamom
• 2 – Onions (chopped)
• 2 tbsp – Jeera
• 2 tbsp – salt
• 1 tbsp – Red Chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – Jeera powder
• 2 tbsp – dried Mango powder
• 2 tbsp – chaat masala
• 2 tbsp – Garlic & Ginger paste
• add Ginger Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala for sprinkling in layers
Method:
- Boil the black gram with salt till tender and mix it with boiled potatoes.
- Add all ingredients (except whole spices, bread and maida paste).
- Crush all the whole spices.
- Take oil in a vessel, put all crushed spices, then add chopped onion, and fry it till golden brown
- Add ginger garlic paste, add potato-channa mixture in it and mix well.
- Shape the dough with the help of palm like an oval leg piece.
- Soak the bread in the water, squeeze it and covered the piece with it.
- Arrange the piece of bread like (L) shape in the bottom of this piece like a leg piece
- Hold it very carefully & coat it in maida mixture (add maida water and colour to make the batter without lumps).
- Deep fry it till golden brown.
- Serve it with green chutney, lemon pieces and onions.
