Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Wheat sooji/rava
• 1/2 cup – finely chopped Onion
• 1 tsp – Hing
• 2 tbsp – grated Coconut (optional)
• 2 tsp – finely chopped Green chillies
• 2 tsp – finely chopped Ginger
• 2 tbsp – Curd
• salt to taste
• oil for frying
Method:
- Dry-roast the rava on medium flame until you get an aroma. Keep aside and allow the rava to cool.
- Mix all the other ingredients to prepare the batter (idli batter-like consistency). Add water if too thick.
- Keep the batter aside for 15 minutes.
- Heat a tawa, drizzle oil and spread the batter on it (about half inch thickness).
- Cover with a lid and cook for about 3 minutes.
- Turn the roti the other side and cook until light brown.
- Serve hot with chutney or garlic pickle.
