Ingredients:
• 1.5 cups – all purpose flour
• 1 cup – powdered Sugar
• 1 tsp – baking soda
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• 3 tbsp – cocoa powder
• 1/3 cup – vegetable oil
• 1 tbsp – Vinegar
• 1 tsp – vanilla essence
• 1 cup – cold water
Method:
- Sift the dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix well to combine.
- In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients and stir well.
- Add the wet ingredients to dry, little by little, until lump free.
- Grease and flour a 7-inch diameter tin.
- Pour the mixture into the tin and drop the tin lightly on the counter to get rid of any bubbles in the mixture.
- Bake this in a preheated 360 degrees F oven for about 30 minutes or until the cake is springy to touch and a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
- You will also find the cake leaving the sides of the tin.
- Cool the cake by leaving it aside for 1 minute or so. Then invert the tin over a rack and tap it gently to unmould the cake.
- Cut it into slabs and sprinkle some powdered sugar on it.
