Sabudana khichdi is made during navratri days and other regular festivals. It’s a special dish made during fasts with sago (sabudana), potatoes, peanuts and coriander leaves. Sabudana khichdi is lightly spicy spiced. It is eaten most during the festival of Navaratri. Sabudana khichdi is good and healthy food to take during fasting. With sago you can also make sabudana vada, sabudana thalipeeth, sabudana kheer and many more.

Ingredients
– 2 cup sabudana (sago)
– ? cumin seeds
– 2 finely chopped green chilies
– 7-8 curry leaves
– 2 small boiled and peeled potatoes
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– Rock salt (salt used in food made for fasting)
– 2 tablespoon oil
– Coriander leaves
– ? cup peanuts
How To Make?
1. Add sabudana in a bowl, add required water to cover the sabudana and soak sabudana for 4-5 hours.
2. After 3 hours you can see that sabudana absorbed the water and its size increased. Now, drain the water from sabudana and keep it aside.
3. Now, roast the peanuts on pan and peel the peanuts skins and grind it.
4. Add oil in a frying pan and add cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chilies and fry it for 2 seconds. Then add mashed potatoes to it and cook it for 5-10 minutes.
5. Now, add sabudana and roasted peanuts to it and again cook it for 5 minutes. Keep stirring.
6. once it’s ready remove it from flame and add into bowl.
7. Add lemon juice into sabudana khichdi and mix well.
8. Garnish sabudana khichdi with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
