Ingredients
– 2 pound carrots with tops
– 4 bacon slices
– ? cup orange juice
– 3 tablespoon orange jelly powder
– 1 teaspoon orange zest
How To Cook?
1. Cut the carrot tops and peel it. Coarsely chop some of the tops and keep it aside.
2. In a deep frying pan, add water to it and let it boil then add carrots in it and cook it for 10 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, put bacon on cold skillet and cook the bacon on MEDIUM flame till it becomes crisp. Once bacons are ready drain them on paper towel from skillet.
4. Now, drain carrots and reserve some cooking water for about ? cup.
5. In another large skillet, add reserved water and orange juice and boil it.
6. Once its starts boiling, add orange jelly powder and stir it for 2-3 minutes.
7. Then add bacon drippings and carrot in it and cook it for 3-4 minutes and then add orange zest and stir it.
8. When it’s done transfer the carrots and sauce in the plate and garnish it with crumbled bacon and reserved chopped carrot tops.
