Pongal is very easy and comfort food of South India. Usually pongal is served on the pongal festival. You can make two type of pongal at home: one sweet and other is spicy pongal. Here I am sharing a sweet pongal recipe which tastes delicious and you can easily make it at home.
Ingredients:
– 1 cup Rice
– 2 cups water
– 1/2 condensed milk
– 20 gm mashed jaggery
– 2 tablespoon ghee
– 2 small elaichi
– 2 cloves
– 1 tablespoon cashewnuts, chopped
– 1 tablespoon kishmish (raisins)
How To Make?
1. Take a microwave safe bowl and add rice, water and ghee and microwave it for 15 minute at 100% power. Don’t cover the bowl, leave it uncovered.
2. Now, when rice is done and cooked, add cardamoms, cloves, jiggery and condensed milk and microwave it for 5 minutes. Cover the bowl and microwave it at 100% power.
3. Stir in between and mix it well.
4. Now add nuts and raisins and mix it well and serve hot.
