Ingredients:

• 0.25 kg – Brinjal
• 5 to 6 – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Chana dal
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 0.25 tsp – Jeera
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• a pinch – Hing
• 0.25 tsp – Turmeric
• 3 tbsp – oil
• 0.5 – fresh Coconut
• 1 tsp – Ginger paste
• salt as per taste

Method:

  1. In a kadai, heat oil and fry all the seeds.
  2. Once done, add the brinjal pieces and turmeric. Mix well and cover with a lid. Cook till brinjal becomes tender.
  3. Make a paste of coconut, green chillies and ginger.
  4. Add this paste to the brinjal pieces.
  5. Add salt and mix well
  6. Serve hot with rice.
