Ingredients:

• 1 kg – chicken, cut into medium-sized pieces
• 2 – potatoes, boiled and cut into quarters
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – all spice powder or Garam Masala powder
• 2 – whole Red Chillies
• 6-8 – Curry leaves
• 2 tsp – chopped Coriander leaves
• salt to taste
• 3 tbsp – oil or Ghee

Method:

  1. Wash the chicken and mix with the chilli powder, garam masala and salt.
  2. Heat oil or ghee in a pan and add the curry leaves and red chillies.
  3. Fry for a few seconds.
  4. Add the marinated chicken and mix well.
  5. Cover and simmer on low heat until the chicken is cooked (do not add water). Keep mixing occasionally.
  6. When the chicken is tender, add the boiled potatoes and mix once so that the potatoes are covered with the gravy.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
