
Ingredients:
• Chicken – 1kg (cut into 1/2 inch pieces)
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds (jeera)
• Red Chilli powder – 2 tsp
• 1 – finely chopped Green chilli
• 2 – dry Red Chillies
• Salt to taste
• Turmeric powder (haldi) -1/4 tsp
• Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tsp
• 2-inch piece – ginger, peeled and chopped finely
• Dhania powder – 1 tsp
• Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
• 5 tbsp – oil
• 1 Onion – chopped
• 1 Onion – chopped long
• 1″ stick – Cinnamon
• 2 – Bay Leaves
• 1/2 tsp – black pepper
• Cashew nut pieces
• Chopped Coriander leaves for garnishing
• Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Method:
- Clean chicken pieces and wash thoroughly. Drain the excess water.| Marinate the chicken pieces with a paste of red chilli powder, little salt, haldi, and ginger-garlic paste for 1 hour.
- Put marinated chicken in steamer and steam for 30 minutes. Chicken should be well-cooked, leaving most of its oil in the steamer.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, onions, and green chillies.
- Fry onion till it turns brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, dhania powder, bay leaves, cashew nuts, salt, chilli powder, chopped green chillies, red chillies, garam masala, cinnamon, black pepper and ginger pieces and fry till fragrant.
- Add steamed chicken and fry for some time. Do not add any water.
- Stir and cover the pan and cook for 15 minutes.
- Remove the lid and garnish with coriander leaves and lemon juice and serve hot.
