Ingredients:

• 250 gm – rump steak
• 1 egg, lightly beaten
• 2 tbsp – Brown sugar
• 2/3 cup – crunchy oat-bran cereal
• 1/2 cup – unsalted roasted Peanuts
• 1/2 tsp – ground coriander
• 1/2 tsp – grated Lime rind
• plain flour
• 1/2 cup – Lime juice
• oil for deep frying

Method:

  1. Blend or process sugar, cereal, nuts, coriander and rind until fine, transfer to bowl.
  2. Cut steak into thin strips, toss in flour, shake away excess flour, dip into egg, then cereal mixture.
  3. Just before serving, deep fry strips in hot oil until crispy.
  4. Serve hot, drizzled with lime juice.
