
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – moong dal
• 2 cups – water
• For seasoning:
• 1 inch – Ginger
• 1 – Garlic
• 1 – green or Red Chilli
• 1/2 tsp – mustard
• 1/2 tsp – Jeera
• 1 tsp – oil
• Curry leaves
Method:
- In a pressure cooker, boil 1 cup of moong dal with 2 cups of water.
- In a kadai, heat oil and put mustard, jeera, chilli, crushed ginger, crushed garlic and curry leaves.
- Fry this season until the mustard splutter and becomes light brown colour.
- Add this seasoning to boiled dal.
- Add salt and turmeric powder to the dal.
- Serve with rice or chapattis.
