Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – mutton, cubed
• 1 cup – thick Coconut Milk
• 1 cup – tomato, chopped
• 1 cup – onion, finely chopped
• 1/2 cup – thin Coconut Milk
• 8 flakes Garlic
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp – black pepper Corns
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Grind garlic, cumin and pepper to a fine paste.
  2. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker/pan.
  3. Add onion and fry till golden brown.
  4. Add the ground paste, fry till fragrant.
  5. Add chilli powder and tomato. Cook till tomato is pulpy.
  6. Add mutton, salt and thin coconut milk. Pressure cook for 15 minutes.
  7. After the pressure drops, open the cooker and add thick coconut milk.
  8. Simmer for 2 minutes and remove from fire.
  9. Serve hot with steamed rice.
