Ingredients:
• 150 gms – Rice
• 2 to 3 – red whole chilli and Cardamom
• 50gms – Tuvar dal
• 50 gms – Chana dal
• 50 gms – whole moong dal
• 50 gms – whole masoor dal
• 50 gms – Carrot
• 50 gms – Potatoes
• 50 gms – peas
• 50 gms – Cauliflower
• 50 gms – French beans
• 1/4 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/4 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 – Onion
• 1 – Tomato
• 1 tbsp – mix of raisins, cashews, Almonds
• 1 tsp – mix of whole masala (black pepper, Cinnamon stick, clove)
• 1 cup – Coriander leaves
• salt as per taste
• oil for cooking
Method:
- Cut and wash all the vegetables.
- Mix all the dals, rice and wash it.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, a mixture of whole masalas, whole red chilli and cardamom.
- When they start crackling, add onions and let them turn brown.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and tomatoes. Pour in the mix of dal, rice, vegetables and all the masalas.
- Pour in two glasses of water and let it cook. It can be cooked in pressure pan also. Garnish with fried raisins, cashews and almonds.
