
Ingredients:
• Bread slices – 8
• Butter or cooking oil – 20 g
• Maida – 1 tbsp
• Milk – 250 ml
• Processed cheese – 30 g
• Onion – 1, finely chopped
• Capsicum – 1, finely copped
• White pepper – 1/4 tsp
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Cut the bread slices into triangle shape and apply butter on one of its side.
- Arrange the slices in a baking tray keeping the buttered side down, making a single layer.
- Now, put a pan on slow fire and add the remaining butter into it.
- After butter melts, add maida and fry for a short while.
- Now, add chilled milk. Keep stirring it till the mixture is smooth, creamy and thick. Now remove from fire and add grated cheese, onion, capsicum, salt and pepper.
- Apply this mixture on the slices arranged in baking tray.
- Bake these in a very hot oven for about 10 – 15 min or till the toasts are crisp and golden brown.
- Serve with tomato sauce.
