Ingredients:

• Kabuli Chana-2 cups
• Cardamom-2 nos.
• Cloves-4 nos.
• Ginger-Garlic paste-1 tbsp
• 1 onion-chopped
• Coriander powder-4 tsp
• Chana masala powder-3 tsp
• Cumin seeds-2 tsp (light rosted)
• 1/2 tsp- Garam Masala
• 1/4 tsp- Black pepper powder
• 1/2 tsp- Red chilly powder
• Tamarind paste-3 tbsp
• salt to taste.

Method:

  1. Soak Kabuli chana in water overnight; Drain the next morning.
  2. Heat oil in cooker. Add chopped onion, cardamom, clove, ginger-garlic paste along with kabuli chana.
  3. Add water and pressure cook for 5 mins.
  4. Remove from heat and add salt, coriander powder, garam masala, cumin powder, chana masala, tamarind pulp, black pepper powder and mix well.
  5. Make paste of some kabuli chana. Add back to the chana.
  6. Pressure cook for another 2 mins. Remove from heat and garnish with green coriander leaves, onion and tomato.
