Ingredients:
• 2 pomfrets, cleaned, heads and tail removed, sliced
• 3 cups coconut, grated
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Coriander seeds
• 3 cocums or peeled Raw Mango pieces (if in season)
• 2 tbsp – oil
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Wash fish slices and marinate in turmeric, chilli powder and salt to taste.
- Liquidise coconut and extract first thick milk (1.5 cups) and then thin milk (1 cup).
- Heat oil, add fish and turn without breaking.
- Add thin coconut milk and cocum or mango. Cool it till done.
- Add thick coconut milk.
- Boil only once and serve hot with rice.
