Ingredients:
• 4 eggs
• 1.5 cup – grated cheese
• 2 large Onions
• 2 large Tomatoes
• 1 cup – green peas, boiled
• 1.5 cup bread crumbs
• 3 cups – Milk
• 1.5 tsp – ground Nutmeg
• pepper to taste
• salt to taste
Method:
- Cut onions and tomatoes into rounds.
- Beat the eggs, add salt, pepper and nutmeg.
- Stir in cheese and milk.
- In a greased baking pan, arrange layers of onions and tomatoes, topped with green peas.
- Pour the custard and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
- Bake in an oven at 180 C until custard sets and is browned on top.
- Serve with green salad.
