Ingredients:

• For dough:
• 1 cup – Fine flour
• 7 tsp – Ghee or Oil
• 1/2 cup – Milk
• Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
• Crushed Almonds – 2 tsp
• Saffron – A pinch
• Filling:
• 1 cup – Coconut Flakes
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Milk
• 2 tsp – Roasted Poppy Seeds (optional)

Method:

  1. Mix flour, ghee or oil well. Add milk slowly to make soft pliable dough. Keep it in a container and cover it.
  2. |Mix ingredients of fillings.
  3. Microwave it for three minutes.
  4. Stir well and microwave again for 5-8 minutes till it becomes semi-dry.
  5. Now you can add cardamom powder, crushed almonds, and saffron.
  6. Make small balls and roll out into thin rotis.
  7. Place 1.5 tsps filling in the centre of each roti.
  8. Fold over with another roti, sealing in the mixture.
  9. Seal edges by pressing with a fork.
  10. Cover them with a thin wet cloth.
  11. Deep fry in hot gee or oil on a low flame till brown on both sides.
