Ingredients:
• For dough:
• 1 cup – Fine flour
• 7 tsp – Ghee or Oil
• 1/2 cup – Milk
• Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
• Crushed Almonds – 2 tsp
• Saffron – A pinch
• Filling:
• 1 cup – Coconut Flakes
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Milk
• 2 tsp – Roasted Poppy Seeds (optional)
Method:
- Mix flour, ghee or oil well. Add milk slowly to make soft pliable dough. Keep it in a container and cover it.
- |Mix ingredients of fillings.
- Microwave it for three minutes.
- Stir well and microwave again for 5-8 minutes till it becomes semi-dry.
- Now you can add cardamom powder, crushed almonds, and saffron.
- Make small balls and roll out into thin rotis.
- Place 1.5 tsps filling in the centre of each roti.
- Fold over with another roti, sealing in the mixture.
- Seal edges by pressing with a fork.
- Cover them with a thin wet cloth.
- Deep fry in hot gee or oil on a low flame till brown on both sides.
