Ingredients:

• 1 cup gram flour
• 1 slice day old bread
• 1 onion, sliced thinly
• 1 tbsp Spinach stems, finely chopped
• 1 tbsp colocasia leaf stems, finely chopped
• 1 tbsp Bottle Gourd peels, finely chopped
• 1 tbsp Cucumber peels, finely chopped
• 1 tbsp skins from green gram
• 3 green chillies, finely chopped
• 1 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
• 3-4 pinches Asafoetida powder
• 2 tbsp hot oil
• Salt to taste
• Oil to deep fry

Method:

  1. Take sliced onion in a large bowl. Sprinkle a little salt and keep aside for 5 mins.
  2. Sprinkle gram flour and add all other ingredients except bread and oil.
  3. Mix them with light hand.
  4. Soak bread under running water and crumble into mixture.
  5. Add hot oil to mixture and mix again lightly.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan and add small dumplings of mixture to oil.
  7. Fry on medium flame till light golden, flipping once if required.
  8. Serve hot and crisp with chutneys or sauce.
