Ingredients:

• 1 – Egg
• 1 slice – white or brown bread
• salt to taste
• pepper to taste
• Butter or oil for frying

Method:

  1. Melt the butter in a non-stick pan and break the egg into it.
  2. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the slice of bread over the half-done egg and press slightly.
  4. When the underside of the egg is done, flip the whole thing over and continue to fry until the bread turns golden brown.
  5. Serve hot with the bread-side up.
