
Ingredients:
• 3 cups – all-purpose flour
• 1 tbsp – active Dry yeast
• 1 tsp – salt
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• 1.25 cup – warm water
• 5 tbsp – Olive oil, for shaping and greasing
• 15 – button mushrooms, chopped
• 1/2 cup – cheese, grated
Method:
- Mix sugar, salt and yeast in lukewarm water. Let them sit for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, take the all-purpose flour in a mixing bowl and add the foaming yeast. Mix everything well (it will be sticky at this point).
- Transfer them to a lightly floured surface and knead for a while, until they turn soft.
- Coat a deep bowl with olive oil and place the soft dough.
- Brush with more oil, cover it and let it rise for 1 hour, in a warm place. After an hour, it will almost double in size.
- Grease the baking pan, with a few drops of oil. Press the dough to flatten them. Sprinkle the chopped mushrooms, over the dough and let them sit again for 1 hour.
- The dough will again raise and double in size. Now sprinkle the grated cheese over the dough.
- Preheat the oven to 475 degree F. Place the baking pan in the middle rack and bake for 20 minutes or else, until the dough turns slightly brown.
- Serve them with cream cheese and salads. Excellent for dinner and breakfast sandwich.
