Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Rice
• 1 cup – moong dal
• 1/2 cup – dry Coconut powder
• 50 g – kaju, fried in a little Ghee
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 1/4 cup – Ghee
• 3 – cardamoms, 2 peeled and powdered
• A dash of Pacha Karpooram
Method:
- Fry moong dal without oil till aroma comes out.
- Pressure cook moong dal and rice with 4 cups water. Remove from cooker.
- Take a kadai and add 3 spoons of ghee and add rice mixture.
- Add sugar and continue stirring after 5-7 minutes. When the pongal becomes thick, add dry coconut powder and fried kaju powder.
- Add remaining ghee as per your wish.
- Add cardamom and pacha karpooram.
