Ingredients:

• 2 – red apples
• 1 – Beetroot
• 1/4 cup – rolled oats
• 2 tbsp – Milk powder
• 1/4 cup – Sugar
• 1 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• Few – melon seeds

Method:

  1. Peel the apples and beetroot. Grate them finely.
  2. Take the sugar, milk powder, grated apples and beets in a microwave safe bowl.
  3. Cook in microwave oven, for 20 minutes in high power (stir twice in between).
  4. Take the oats, in another microwave safe bowl, cook in high power for 2 minutes, until they turn a bit crispy.
  5. Now add the rolled oats, cardamom powder and ghee to the almost cooked halwa.
  6. Cook again for 10 minutes, until the ghee separates (stir in between).
  7. Enjoy warm, topped with a few melon seeds or sliced nuts.
