
Ingredients:
• Kala Chana – 1 cup (soaked 6-7 hrs)
• Chana dal – 1/4 cup (soaked)
• Onions – 3 (medium sized and sliced)
• Ginger – a small piece (chopped)
• Garlic – 8 to 10 flakes
• 2 to 3 – Red Chillies (broken into pieces)
• Garam Masala – 1 tsp
• Coriander powder – 2 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Lime juice (according to taste)
• Green chillies – 2 (chopped finely) )
• 1 sprig – Coriander leaves
• Oil
Method:
- In a pressure cooker, heat oil and add sliced onions. Fry till they turn light pink.
- Add chopped ginger, garlic, garam masala, and dry red chillies; fry.
- Now add the kala chana and chana dal.
- Add coriander powder and fry on medium heat till the oil separates.
- Add salt and a little water (just enough for cooking) and pressure cook for about 10 minutes.
- Now grind the cooked chana mixture to a coarse paste.
- Add chopped onion, lime juice, chopped coriander leaves, and green chillies to the ground paste.
- Make round kebabs of the mixture and shallow fry in a nonstick pan.
- Serve hot with green chutney.
