Ingredients:
• 2 tbsp Wheat germ, cleaned
• 1 tbsp green gram dal
• 2 cups water
• Salt to taste
• 1 cup hot Milk (optional)
Method:
- Wash the dal and mix with the wheat germ.
- Soak in the water for 5 minutes.
- Add salt and stir.
- Put to boil and stir continuously till boiling.
- Partially cover and cook on low heat till the wheat germ is fully cooked.
- Stir frequently in between, adding more water if required.
- When pressed between the thumb and finger, the wheat germ should break easily. Then it is done.
- Alternatively, you can pressure cook until 2 whistles.
- Serve hot with milk or salted curd or eat plain with 1/4 tsp ghee.
