Ingredients:
• 2 – Tender Drumsticks cut to finger length
• 1 cup – Onions
• Handful – soya chunks
• 3 – Green chillies
• 1 spring – Curry leaves
• 1/4 tsp – mustard
• 1/4 tsp – cumin
• 1/8 tsp – Turmeric
• 60 ml – Milk
• Salt to taste
• Oil as needed.
Method:
- Boil 2 cups of water, soak soya chunks for about an hour
- Squeeze out the water
- Heat a pan with 1 tbsp oil, fry soya in the oil for about 3 to 4 mins on a medium flame, drain and keep aside
- Heat a pan with some more oil, add curry leaves, green chillies, mustard and cumin, saute till the green chillies are fried well, for about 2 mins
- Add onions, sprinkle salt and fry till they turn translucent
- Add the drumsticks, fry for 2 to 3 mins on a medium flame
- Add turmeric and pour required amount of water.
- Cover and cook till the drumsticks are half cooked
- Add the fried soya chunks, add salt and cook without covering till the drumsticks are cooked fully and the moisture is absorbed.
- Simmer the flame pour milk and when it starts to bubble, switch off the heat.
