
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Rice
• 5-6 tsp – thick Tamarind juice
• 4 tsp – oil
• 4 – Red Chillies
• 1 Channa dal
• 1/2 tsp Urad Dal
• 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp Jeera
• 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
• 1/4 tsp Haldi
• few Curry leaves
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Cook the rice in such a way that each grain is separated.
- Soak channa dal in little water and keep aside.
- Add oil in a pan and heat it. Add red chillies, urad dal, mustard, jeera, asafoetida and keep heating till urad dal becomes brown.
- Then add curry leaves, channa dal, tamarind juice and some salt. Cook this for 3 minutes.
- Add the tamarind juice and others into the cooked rice. Mix well all the ingredients and serve with/without lemon pickle.
