
Ingredients:
• Wheat rava – 1 cup
• Ghee – 1/2 cup
• Chopped nuts – 50 g
• Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
• Saffron – 1/2 tsp
• Sugar to taste
Method:
- Soak wheat rava in plenty of water for 5 to 6 hours.
- Grind in the mixer and extract the milk. Repeat this for a few times adding fresh water every time. (4 -5 cups)
- Allow the extract to settle, undisturbed for at least 8 hours in a tall vessel.
- Then remove the water and measure the settled milk.
- Take 1.5 cups of sugar for every 1 cup of milk, mix very well and add a little keas colour.
- Cook it in a pressure cooker.
- After the 1st whistle, lower the flame and cook for 45 mins.
- Open after the pressure drops and beat thoroughly with a wooden spatula.
- In a non-stick pan, add ghee, chopped nuts and then hallway and flavouring.
- Stir till it becomes a thick mass. Remove, cool, spread and level.
