
Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg – Rice
• 1/2 inch – Ginger
• 6 pods – Garlic
• 1 bunch – Coriander leaves
• 1 tsp – salt
• 4 – Green chilli
• 2 – Onion
• 1/2 inch – Cinnamon
• 1 – Bay Leaf
• 1 pod – Cardamom
• 1/4 tsp – Saunf
• 6 tsp – oil
Method:
- Wash the rice and keep aside. Add two glasses of water to it and let it soak.
- In a blender, grind ginger, garlic, green chilli and coriander leaves to a fine paste.
- In a cooker, heat oil and add the cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon and saunf and fry till they splutter.
- Add chopped onion, fry till it becomes transparent.
- Add the ground paste, fry till the oil separates.
- Add the soaked rice and close the lid of the cooker.
- After 2 whistles, switch off the stove and serve.
