Ingredients:

• 2 tbsp – poppy seeds(Khus khus/Gasagase)
• 1 tbsp – Rice
• 2 cups – Milk
• 2 cups – water
• 2 cups – mashed Jaggery
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 2 tbsp – crushed Almonds
• 1 tbsp – crushed Pistachios

Method:

  1. Soak poppy seeds and rice for 3-4 hours.
  2. Grind them in to fine paste.
  3. Bring water to a boil.
  4. Add mashed jaggery and as it melts, stir continuously.
  5. Add the paste and let it cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring continuously.
  6. Add milk and cardamom powder.
  7. Let it boil for 3-4 minutes.
  8. Garnish with nuts.
  9. Serve hot.
