Ingredients:

• 2 lbs – Chicken pieces
• 2 – Onions
• 1/2 cup – chopped Tomatoes
• 1.5 tbsp – Garlic and Ginger paste
• 1 tbsp – Khus Khus
• 1 tbsp – white sesame seeds
• 4 tbsp – Coconut desiccated
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• chilli powder
• Garam Masala powder
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces in 1 tbsp garlic and ginger and 1 tsp of turmeric powder for 1/2 to 1 hour.
  2. Dry fry khus khus, sesame seeds and coconut until brown.
  3. Heat little oil and fry sliced onions until brown.
  4. Grind the browned onions and khus khus mixture. Set aside.
  5. In a big vessel, heat oil and add chopped onions and fry. Add 1/2 tsp ginger and garlic paste and fry
  6. Now add chilli powder according to your taste and fry.
  7. Add the chopped tomatoes and fry until oil separates.
  8. Add the chicken pieces and mix , add lot of water and allow to boil.
  9. Now add the ground khus-khus paste, salt and garam masala powder. Cover and cook until done.
  10. Serve hot with rice or rotis.
