Ingredients:

• 8 – Chicken wings, cleaned and patted dry
• 2 tbsp – Sesame seed oil
• 1 tbsp – dark soy sauce
• 1 tbsp – Honey
• 1.5 tsp – Chinese five spices powder
• 1.5 tsp – ground Ginger
• salt and pepper

Method:

  1. Blend the sauce ingredients in a fairly large dish.
  2. Marinate the wings in the mixture for one hour, ensuring they are completely covered with the marinade.
  3. Switch on the oven grill and arrange the wings on the rack of an oven pan.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Grill for about 5-8 minutes on each side until tender, and done, brushing occasionally with the marinade.
  6. Serve hot with a sweet achaar.
