Ingredients:

• 1/2 tsp Turmeric
• 2 Tomatoes
• 1.5 tsp rasam powder
• 3 tsp Ghee
• 1 tsp mustard
• 1.5 tsp cooked Toor Dal
• A small-lime size ball Tamarind
• A few Coriander leaves
• Salt to taste
• 2 cups water

Method:

  1. Take the tamarind and then soak it in hot water.
  2. Then, squeeze the tamarind completely in the water.
  3. Boil the tamarind water after adding a little bit of turmeric and salt to it.
  4. Take one tomato and crush it completely and add it to the tamarind water.
  5. Add the rasam powder and the cooked toor dhal.
  6. Cut one tomato as finely as you possibly can and add it to the rasam.
  7. Take another pan, heat it after adding the ghee.
  8. Then, add mustard to it.
  9. When the mustard begins to splutter, add it to the rasam.
  10. Garnish it with coriander leaves and your rasam is ready.
  11. Serve it hot for lunch or dinner along with rice.
