Ingredients:
• 1/2 tsp Turmeric
• 2 Tomatoes
• 1.5 tsp rasam powder
• 3 tsp Ghee
• 1 tsp mustard
• 1.5 tsp cooked Toor Dal
• A small-lime size ball Tamarind
• A few Coriander leaves
• Salt to taste
• 2 cups water
Method:
- Take the tamarind and then soak it in hot water.
- Then, squeeze the tamarind completely in the water.
- Boil the tamarind water after adding a little bit of turmeric and salt to it.
- Take one tomato and crush it completely and add it to the tamarind water.
- Add the rasam powder and the cooked toor dhal.
- Cut one tomato as finely as you possibly can and add it to the rasam.
- Take another pan, heat it after adding the ghee.
- Then, add mustard to it.
- When the mustard begins to splutter, add it to the rasam.
- Garnish it with coriander leaves and your rasam is ready.
- Serve it hot for lunch or dinner along with rice.
