
Ingredients:
• 1 kg – chicken, jointed
• 1 cup – onion, thinly sliced
• 4 tbsp – oil
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 2 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 tbsp – Lime juice
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 cup – grated Coconut
• To grind:
• 1/2 cup – coriander leaves, chopped
• 3 cm piece – Cinnamon
• 1 tsp – Poppy Seeds
• 6 flakes – Garlic
• 3 cm – Ginger
• 4 – Cloves
Method:
- Grind the coconut and keep aside
- Grind the ingredient taken for grinding into a smooth paste
- Heat oil in a pressure pan and saute the onion until pink
- Add the masala paste to it and fry well.
- Now add all the dry ingredients and fry for 1 min
- Then add the chicken and fry until a light brown.
- Add about 1.5 cups of water and salt to it
- Pressure cook this for 5 mins.
- Now add the coconut paste and simmer for 2-3 minutes
- Mix the lime juice and remove from fire
- Serve hot with pulao or steamed rice.
