
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – moong dal
• 3 cup – water
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seed
• 1 tsp – cumin
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 tbsp – chopped Ginger
• 3 – Green chillies
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 1 – Onion
• 2 tbsp – chopped Carrot
• 2 tbsp – Green peas
• 1/2 cup – Cabbage
• Coriander leaves – a bunch
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Grind ginger and green chillies to a fine paste.
- Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard and cumin.
- Then add onion, the ground paste and stir well until golden brown.
- Add turmeric powder and mix well.
- Finally, add the remaining vegetables and moong dal with 3 cups of water and salt.
- Cook until done.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with chapattis or naan.
