Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup – cooked daal
• 1 tbsp – Jeera
• 1tbsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tbsp – rasam powder
• 2 tbsp – Jaggery
• 1 tbsp – chopped Coriander leaves
• 1 tbsp – Curry leaves
• 2 – Tomatoes
• 2 tbsp – Tamarind paste
• 2 tbsp – oil
• Salt – to taste
• 2 cups – water

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard and jeera seeds.
  2. Add chopped tomatoes and tamarind paste with 1 cup water and mix well. Bring to a boil.
  3. Now add the cooked daal and boil once more.
  4. Add chopped coriander, curry leaves, and salt to taste.
  5. Then add rasam powder and jaggery.
  6. Simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
